Josephine, Meg, Beth and Amy March live modest lives in 19th-century America. From childhood to adulthood, these four sisters with their disparate personalities struggle to find their own path through life. Among them, Jo struggles to make a place for herself in a society that would like to confine her to a role she doesn't recognize herself in. Between her passion for writing, her vital friendship with her neighbor Laurie, her hopes and disappointments, the young girl will do everything to defend her freedom and become the woman she wants to be.
